Rotary Recap — Friday, November 14th
Our meeting began with a positive session of Kindness Dollars, collected by Brad.  Members shared moments of gratitude and connection, acknowledging once again the generosity and spirit of this club. Susan offered updates on the success of the Chamber Business After Hours held this past week and recognized the steady work of Cindy and others across our many service efforts.

    Service Projects & Giving Initiatives
    Montego Bay Barrels
Marilyn reported that nearly two barrels are already full, with more donations continuing to arrive. The club expects to ship the barrels to the Montego Bay Club by Monday, and she expressed heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of support.

    Remembering Past President Dick Santoro

The club took a thoughtful moment of silence to honor Dick and reflect on his legacy of enthusiasm, kindness, and hands-on service—qualities that continue to inspire us this week.

    Member Spotlights

    Claire DeLorenzo
Claire shared her personal and professional journey, from her Pennsylvania upbringing to her academic background in molecular biology and chemistry, her time working at MGH, and her eventual transition into law. She completed her law degree at Suffolk during the COVID years, moved to Maine, renovated a duplex with her husband, passed the bar, and married in April 2024.

She now practices estate planning with a focus on lifetime planning, trusts, and wealth-transition strategies—work she approaches much like solving a puzzle. Claire also looks forward to strengthening our connection with the High School Interact Club.

    Scott Brown
Scott reflected on his upbringing in a Marine Corps family, moving every 13 months—a rhythm that shaped his resilience and ability to form relationships quickly. He shared stories of rugby, his long career in high-tech sales, extensive international travel, and the eventual decision to step away from the intensity of that world.

Today, he is an independent travel consultant specializing in European travel and African safaris. He will be teaching adult education classes in both Marshwood and York and remains enthusiastic about contributing to Rotary projects, including Window Dressers and community school outreach.

Both presentations were engaging, warm, and full of personality—an excellent kickoff to our Member Spotlight series.

Here’s to another week of service, fellowship, and impact—come join us and be part of the momentum!
