Andy Glazier, District Governor of Rotary District #7780 visited the club this morning with his lovely wife Pam Gray.  Andy told us that Rotary has provided them with amazing opportunities that they normally wouldn't have.  He said he enjoys being part of an organization where the common goal is to make the world a better place by helping those who are less fortunate.

He also mentioned that this year the theme for our district is to "Grow Rotary".  He'd like to see us increase the footprint of the good that we do.  He encouraged us to come up with creative ways to allow others to participate in Rotary.

He also reported that as of this morning, there have only been 42 new world -wide cases of polio reported in 2019.  Recently Rotary International called on all members to help reach a fundraising goal of $50 million dollars, to be matched 2 to 1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.    Thanks to the generosity of Rotarians world-wide,  that fundraising goal was met.  Together we will eradicate this horrible disease.

Last but not least- check out Andy's awesome shirt!  It was designed and made in Zambia.
