Happy Dollars: Rob Horowitz wanted to express thanks from Wendy Spencer for the lawn care; Melanie Ladd is happy that her son has decided to go to Cornell; Don Sweet wanted to thank Paul Salacain for organizing the dinner dance - it was a great time! Steve Pelletier is happy that his son is graduating from Pomona - 3 down, 2 to go; John Rainone is happy that Don Sweet received his doctorate degree! Steve Jendzejec joked that now Don will be able to get better reservations at restaurants.
Raffle: 82 - Eric Bergeron won!
New member: Nelson Giordano inducted.
Greeter next week - Mike Myers
Speaker next week – Henry Scipioni, school superintendent.
Marty Ulan Award – Friday April 30, 2004 is the last day for nomination.
Doug Gray requested $1,000 for the York Advocacy Group, started by Pat Bacon.
Doug also is interested in raffling off a Harley Davidson - question 500 tickets at $100 or 1,000 tickets at $50.
Speaker - Dr. Paul Poulin, an oncologist, teamed with his son Christian to form Genetic Legacy. Mendel, a monk studying peas, discovered he could predict what peas would appear by picking the “parents.” DNA is a double helix that splits into two when replicating. Genetic Legacy sells a kit to collect your DNA so you can have your complete genetic profile stored.
Meeting adjourned.
