GUESTS:  Mike Pugh, Jeff Martin

 

HAPPY DOLLARS:  Dick Mirick – employee of his has opened her own business called Peppe’s Taco’s specializing in west coast taco’s;  Andy Binger – went tuna fishing last week and brought in a catch of 33o lbs of fish;  Loretta Prescott – had a happy $5 for 19 years of wedding bliss;  Rob Horowitz – spent a week at Smuggler’s Notch on vacation and had the opportunity to climb Mt Madonna;  Ray DeFeo -  Katie made the Endicott College field hockey team and Chelsea was selected as the high school field hockey team goalie;  Steve Jendzejec – had a scooter dollar / happy dollar for bringing Emily back to college;  Anna Kristina – had a happy $5 and was in costume representing Nigeria.  She told us the representation of the costume and related the information to our new RI President;  Mike Oliveira – was happy for the start of school. 

 

SAD DOLLARS:  Ed Kimball – his remote control for his T.V. broke and now he has to get out of his chair to change the channel (Ed – change the batteries)

 

BIRTHDAYS:  None

MEETING/ SPEAKER;  Today was Club Assembly.  Elmer spoke to the club asking that our club work with the other community service clubs / organizations in town and work together as a team towards a common goal.  John DeStefano spoke about the printer cartridge recycle program and reaching into the businesses and organizations within town.  President Steve spoke about the greater list for the coming year; he also reminded the club about the September 19th Membership Meeting at York Community College as well as the District Conference in Montreal.  Ray DeFeo updated the club on the concession stand at the Bog Road athletic fields.  The Rec. Dept has a plan and once the all is ready Ray and the concession committee will be looking for volunteers to construct the building (should be happening very soon) and the club will be recognized as a significant donor with a plaque attached to the building.

 

DATES to Remember:  April 24, 2004 – Spring Dance @ Portsmouth Sheraton and weekend of October 31st is the District Conference in Montreal.
