Guests: Jim Hager brings with him his grandson Travis; Paul Saltzman’s son T.J. is present; also attending is a guest from Kittery.
Happy Dollars:
- Ray DeFeo is looking forward to the polar dip,
- Dave McElwain is happy that he sold his hockey ticket last week and donated ½ to Rotary,
- Steve Jendzejec is happy that his daughter Cassie did so well at the Maine State Track meet.
- Steve J. also stated that he would do the polar dip if $100 was donated-----$100 was rapidly produced, so Steve is jumping in!
Birthdays: Greg Villa
Lates: Kevin Webb and George Russell.
Club Assembly:
- Polar dip—Steve Jendzejec, Ray DeFeo, and (soon to be new member) Paul Mercer are doing the dip.
- Attendance for January is 78%.
- Fundraising—Harvestfest $1,260; Turkey Trot $1,600; $1,500 in Scholarships available, $15,300 in saving.
- Tom Elias- Scholarship committee, all of the applications need to be in by May 1st, doing 2 alternative scholarships as well.
- Hot tub or $5,000 in cash tickets---need to sell 4 minimum.
- Spring dance - tickets available next week, choice of meals, 200 tickets available, 4 tickets per person.
- Annette has volunteered for junior achievement- anyone interested in helping please let her know.
- Stacie K. proffered a threat to Jim Hager---“He’s going down this year!” in regards to hot tub ticket sales; Jessica Acosta is going to Peru; Dominican Republic books - the second wave will be going shortly; GSE team is from Australia and will be in York on May 14th.
- Don Sweet volunteered to handle the student exchange.
- X-ray machine will be going to South Africa soon.
- Paul Mercer is now on 7 day notice.
- Rotary members are eligible for discounted tickets to the Fleet center.
Next weeks greeter—Paul Saltzman and Dick Santoro.
3 Coast Guard Cutters – looking for sponsors—2 boats already have sponsors—Dover and Kittery Rotary clubs.
Ray Bald – working on Rotary clothing.
Beth Knight-speaker last week, wrote a proposal requesting $1000 to help fund her work - that amount was given by the club.
Jim Colson-update – windows are now in the trailer, the woman is very thankful and happy!
