GUESTS:  Frank, Larry (Michigan) and YHS Rotoract club members

 

HAPPY DOLLARS:   A happy dollar from Greg Villa, Ed Kimball, Jim Bartlett and Mary Andrews for defeat of the casino.  George Russell’s happy dollar was because “”Won because they thought about it”.  Scott Stevens expects to make up in the Netherlands.  Don Sweet had three new kittens to his house.  Norm Davidson because he was heading south on the 8th.   Larry (from Michigan) was looking for any information on an old ambulance for his club’s support in Nicaragua.  Ann McAuley, President Steve and Doug Gray for their trip to Montreal and the Northern lights that they saw.  (President Steve had an extra $1 for being able to get back into the States after forgetting his wallet).  Ray DeFeo was happy to have been elected but his wife was happier there isn’t a board for him to serve on.  Jim Colson was happy to have police in York who don’t look at inspection stickers (his had been expired for 9 months)

MEETING/ SPEAKER;  Today’s guest speaker was Major Shane Tomko, USMC and commander of the Marine Recruiting Station, Portsmouth.  MAJ Tomko spoke to us about the pride he has in serving his country and his philosophy on SPAM (not the food).  He told us that we all should have SPAM in our lives each day (S- spiritual / P- physical / A – “Almor’e” (passion / love) and M – Mental (lean something everyday).
